This Privacy Policy outlines how Arvo ("Arvo", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you add Arvo to your Discord server or interact with its services, including its associated website (arvobot.xyz).

1. Information We Collect

Arvo is designed to enhance server management and staff coordination. To provide its services, Arvo may collect and store the following types of information:

Server Information: When Arvo is added to a Discord server, we store the server's ID (Guild ID) and name to identify it.
Configuration Data: Settings configured by server administrators via the dashboard or commands, such as designated log channel IDs, staff roles, and command enabled/disabled states, are stored on a per-server basis.
User Information (for commands): When you interact with Arvo's commands, we collect your Discord User ID and username/tag to attribute actions, for logging purposes, and to facilitate command functionality.
Infraction Data: Details of infractions (warnings, mutes, kicks, bans, staff infractions) including the target user, moderator, reason, type, and timestamp are stored.
Web Dashboard Authentication Data: If you log in to the Arvo web dashboard using Discord OAuth2, we receive your Discord User ID, username, and a list of guilds you are in. This is used solely to verify your identity and permissions. Access tokens are stored in your browser's session.
Bot Operational Logs: Arvo may log errors, command usage statistics (anonymized where possible), and other operational data to maintain and improve its services.

Arvo does **not** routinely log or store the content of general user messages in your server channels, outside of specific data submitted through its commands (e.g., infraction reasons).

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, and maintain Arvo's features and functionalities.
To store and apply server-specific configurations.
To log actions and infractions to designated channels and for record-keeping.
To authenticate authorized personnel for accessing the web dashboard.
To monitor bot performance, diagnose issues, and improve services.
To respond to support requests.

3. Data Storage and Security

Server configurations and infraction data are stored in JSON files on the server where the bot is hosted. We take reasonable measures to protect this information, but no online service can be 100% secure. The bot operates using the Discord API and is hosted on a platform (e.g., Render) which has its own security measures.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information or server-specific data to others.

Arvo interacts with the following third-party services:

Discord API: Essential for the bot's operation.
Hosting Platform (e.g., Render): Where the bot and its data files are stored.

5. User Rights and Data Control

Data control largely resides within Discord and your server settings:

You can remove Arvo from your server at any time.
Server administrators can manage Arvo's permissions.
Data logged by Arvo to your server channels can be managed by users with appropriate Discord permissions.
To request deletion of stored configuration or infraction data for your server, please contact us through the support server.

6. Children's Privacy

Arvo is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes via our support server or other appropriate channels. Your continued use of Arvo after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
